CERTUS Automation solutions for Lekki Freeport Container Terminal

LFT will be one of the most modern ports in West Africa, offering enormous support to the burgeoning commercial operation across Nigeria and the entire West African region. The CERTUS Automation solution supports the terminal in levelling their Gate Capacity, Access control, Central Exception handling and Automatic Container Inspection. In combination with the Position Detection Solution (PDS) from IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, all container traffic (RTGs, Reachstackers, internal as well as external trucks) can be traced in real-time and containers will be stacked accurately. The PDS also enables visibility of all yard equipment at a glance, job optimization as well as performance reporting.

The solution delivery includes an Automated Gate which consists of 5 Gate OCR portals, Weigh in Motion scales, 15 Gate Lanes equipped with kiosks, RFID readers and Traffic Control Equipment, the GOS software suite together with a Vehicle Booking System (VBS), combined with truck RFID equipment and fleet telematics devices for 35 terminal tractors, 15 RTGS and 9 reach stackers/empty handlers.
