BLOG: What features do I need on an Crane OCR?
CERTUS Crane OCR automatically captures every container move during the loading and discharge at the vessel operations. But what data should it capture? This mostly depends on the type of container terminal and whether it is mostly transshipment or import/export. In general, we often see the following:

Of course, the most basic feature of our Crane OCR system is the ability to recognize the Container Code and ISO Code. Other features which are most commonly applied are:

DAMAGE IMAGES
SEAL DETECTION
HAZARDOUS LABEL RECOGNITION
MORE ADVANCED FEATURES
The higher the automation at the container yard, the higher the requirements are on the OCR system. Features we see often with customers with an automated yard are:
