Our field
The operation within maritime and intermodal terminals is highly automated. The individual system solutions for terminal operations are accompanied by complex logic, which together result in optimization the use of CHE (container handling equipment), (IT) systems and resources.

Job profile
We are looking for a dynamic individual, based in the Netherlands, to take on the role of Junior Project Manager who is ambitious and professional and can thrive in a challenging environment.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will support a team of Senior Project Managers in the planning and delivery of project activities. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who can methodically analyse and resolve business challenges within budget and is comfortable with peer and supervisory feedback.

Responsibilities

In addition, the Junior Project Manager will be able to deliver consulting services and deliverables including:

  • Booking and managing Key Customer Orders to achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Booking and managing Purchase Orders, negotiating and communicating regularly with the supply chain, to achieve supplier OTD.
  • Focused on customer satisfaction
  • Customer Responsiveness – Responding to customer and supplier inquiries in a timely fashion throughout the process, to obtain and provide information regarding order status, technical issues and any other inquiry.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of equipment and milestones deadlines by doing proactive and regular follow-ups with suppliers.
  • Reviewing the order modification requests and preparing proposals (Change Orders).
  • May be called upon to carry out other tasks as needed or upon request of his/her immediate Manager.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role would be an asset
  • Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills
  • Detail Oriented, hardworking and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Experience dealing with international suppliers would be an asset.
  • Experience in computerized management systems/purchasing, MS office
  • Knowledge of Project Management process would be an asset
  • Organized, resourceful
  • Teamwork
  • Must be willing to travel based on business needs
  • A flexible approach to working hours is a benefit

Additional Expertise is a plus

  • MBO/HBO level
  • Knowledge of complete Microsoft Office including MS Visio
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge of Maritime and Offshore sector

Employment

  • 40 hour working week
  • 6 month contract and after good performance a contract for an indefinite period
  • Market-level salary and follow-up CAO Informatie-, Communicatie en Kantoortechnologiebranche (ICK)
