The operation within maritime and intermodal terminals is highly automated. The individual system solutions for terminal operations are accompanied by complex logic, which together result in optimization the use of CHE (container handling equipment), (IT) systems and resources.
Your role as a Project Manager
We seek a dynamic Project Manager, based in the Netherlands, who is ambitious, professional, and capable of excelling in a challenging environment. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can analyze and overcome business challenges methodically and is receptive to feedback from peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
In addition, the Project Manager will be able to deliver consulting services and deliverables including:
- Developing detailed project plans
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Delivering projects on time, within budget and scope
- Focused on customer satisfaction
- Customer Responsiveness – Responding to customer and supplier inquiries in a timely fashion throughout the process, to obtain and provide information regarding order status, technical issues and any other inquiry.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of equipment and milestones deadlines by doing proactive and regular follow-ups with suppliers. Identify and manage risks and instigate Risk Management Strategies.
- Reviewing the order modification requests and preparing proposals (Change Orders).
- Ensure project closure including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for your next project.
- May be called upon to carry out other tasks as needed or upon request of his/her immediate Manager.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role would be an asset
- Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills
- Detail Oriented, hardworking and self-motivated
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English
- Experience dealing with international suppliers would be an asset.
- Experience in computerized management systems, MS office
- Organized, resourceful
- Teamwork
- Must be willing to travel based on business needs
- A flexible approach to working hours is a benefit
- Must be living in the Netherlands and have minimal a Dutch B2 language level
Additional Expertise is a plus
- HBO level
- Knowledge of complete Microsoft Office including MS Visio
- Project management methodology knowledge
- Knowledge of Maritime and Offshore sector
Employment
- 40 hour working week
- Annual contract and after good performance a contract for an indefinite period
- Market-level salary and follow-up CAO Informatie-, Communicatie en Kantoortechnologiebranche (ICK)
- Candidate must reside in the Netherlands, as our office is located in Sliedrech
